Dodgeball captains' guide
We know how much work it is to captain a team, so we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get the job done. This guide will show you the ins and outs.

First game Tuesday, Sept. 21 and Wednesday, Sept. 22

The Tuesday league starts Sept. 21, and all games will be played at YWCA at either 7 or 8 p.m. With 6 teams, we had an opportunity to condense the season, scheduling each team to play two doubleheaders, shortening the season by two weeks. We're worried about the league getting shut down again due to COVID measures, and we want everyone to get as much playtime as possible if that happens. If things are looking good in November, though, we'll look into booking some drop-in games!
Semi-finals will be on Nov. 2 and finals will be on Nov. 9. Teams not in the finals will be scheduled to play a fun game.
The Wednesday league starts Sept. 22, and all games will be played at St. Mary's Wellness Centre at either 7 or 8 p.m. Finals will be played on Nov. 24 between the top two teams, and the other teams will be invited to play a fun game.

Sign the waiver to play

Your teammates must sign the waiver to play! The league coordinator will be taking roll call before the game to note who attended; this is one of the COVID-19 guidelines and helps with contact tracing. Waiver link:

Important COVID-19 information

The Government of Saskatchewan has mandated that masks be worn for all indoor activities, including sports. Other restrictions on sports aren't currently in place, but we recommend teams follow these guidelines.
Note: COVID-19 guidelines are subject to change. If the government or facilities require teams to follow new guidelines, we will notify captains.
  • Players must not arrive more than 5-10 minutes before the start of the game. If you start congregating, the league coordinator may ask you to return to your vehicle.
  • Teams must follow the guidelines set out by the facility. Currently, the facilities we are renting have no specific guidelines but that is subject to change.
  • Respect teams who don't want to do handshakes. We aren't restricting cheering this season, but some teams still aren't comfortable with handshakes, and that's okay. Check with the captain first.
  • Do not play if you are feeling unwell. Players who are sick or symptomatic must not participate.
